In early 2025, the 黑料传送门 Cybersecurity Club competed in Hack The Box鈥檚 "Hack The Madness" tournament, winning the F1N41 4 badge聽and crowned the Central Region Champions.聽Modeled after the NCAA March Madness tournament, the聽鈥淗ack The Madness鈥� tournament pits 64 of the best U.S. collegiate Capture The Flag teams against each other in a single-elimination competition. In the culminating battle between regional champions for聽the title of national champion, the 黑料传送门 team also earned a 4th-place finish.

The 黑料传送门 Cybersecurity Club took fifth place at the at-large regional 2025 Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) in March. The highly prestigious and respected competition prepares students for real-world careers in cybersecurity and emphasizes practical, day-to-day aspects of managing and protecting a network infrastructure. Co-captains David Zanabria and Christopher Peters led the eight-person 黑料传送门 team to a win against about 100 other university teams.聽

Also in March, team captain Damian Yates led the 黑料传送门 Cybersecurity Club team to a second-place victory at the 2025 NCAE (National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity) Cyber Games. Organized by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Cyber Games are a prestigious national competition for college students, particularly those new to cyber competitions. Over 1,000 participants competed from more than 100 schools across the country.聽

The 黑料传送门 Cybersecurity Club team won against a two-year university rival at a Capture The Flag (CTF) game hosted by Hack The Box in March. CTFs are cybersecurity competitions during which teams or individuals solve challenges, collect flags, and compete to earn the most points. The goal is to "capture" flags (secret codes) by solving the challenges and submitting them to the platform. As of March 2025, Hack The Box has hosted 1,046 CTFs, with 94,302 teams competing and 468,323 flags submitted.聽
